what a weekend!

SO this weekend was crazy! Friday started the chaos! I wake up at 1 a.m. on Saturday morning for my nightly bathroom break and see that my cell phone is all lit up and notice I received 2 text messages. So, I check them to see who is texting me at 1 a.m. in the morning and come to find out, the other couple in our church that was expecting (due May 21st) had their baby that night at 10:47pm and the text messages were sent at like 10:50pm!! They had a beautiful, 8.6lb, 21.5" long baby boy, Evan Josiah LaValle! If she would have gone full term, he would have been huge! Her water broke at like 6:30pm Friday night and he was brought into this world at 10:47pm! This is her 1st baby too! She said she only pushed for about an hour and a half! Lucky girl! I pray ours is as easy and quick! So, I guess we're next! OMG...

Ginger and I were exactly 2 weeks apart in our due dates so needless to say, I did not sleep a WINK from reading that text on! I was freaking out b/c this means that WE ARE NEXT! OMG!!! PANIC!! I tossed and turned till 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and couldn't do it any longer so I got up and then that woke Josh up so he got up and we decided we could get ready, load up and go to Texarkana to return that rocker/glider set we got that Target gave us in the wrong color and get that done and go to Home Depot and get some flowers to plant in pots before the rain comes...so... WE DID. we were on the road by 7 a.m. ON SATURDAY headin that way. We returned our rocker/glider w/ ottoman set and go THE ONLY WHITE SET Target had left in-stock, PRAISE THE LORD, and then went to Home Depot and got some pretty flowers to plant, ate lunch w/ mom and dad and came home.
THEN... Josh had to pack b/c he flew out for Kansas City yesterday (sunday) morning for a meeting and flies back home today (monday) and be back by 6pm tonight! I ended up washing and packing Shelby's 2 outfit choices, socks and blankets yesterday and the rest of the evening, I laid on my butt watching TV! OH, and we started working 4, 10 hour days this week also, our Summer Work schedule, so I'M BEAT! Wheewww.... OH, and I have a dr.'s appt. tomorrow at 1pm that Josh can't go to b/c of a luncheon so I get to drive BACK TO Texarkana again and HOPE that there is progress in the warm comfy world of Shelby Lynne. I start goin every week after tomorrow.. ugh... bye bye sick leave hours.... I was hoping his office was open on friday since we are off on Fridays (since we work Mon. - Thurs. 7-5:30pm in the summer) but it's not so i'm gonna have to try to get the latest appointments possible so I will only have to take off maybe an hour or two instead of half a day. OH, and Shelby CANNOT come this weekend b/c #1, my dr. leaves friday for his youngest daughter's wedding in Charleston, SC (CONGRATS JORDAN AND JOSH!)and won't be back till probably sunday, #2, Josh is the head cook for the SAU Steak Team for our town's annual Magnolia Blossom Festival and World Championship Steak Cookoff (it's been on the Food Network!) on Saturday AND our new preacher comes and starts Sunday so.... DEAR LORD, PLEASE LET SHELBY BE AT PEACE AT LEAST THROUGH THIS WEEKEND. AFTER THAT, SHE CAN COME ANYTIME! ~AMEN!
haha.... OH AND I HOPE that the monogrammers are finished/finishing up Shelby's panel for her diaper bag so I can finish it this week sometime as well and maybe get to work on the 2 ruffle outfits I have left to make for a church family member, if not, I may need to call in re-inforcements, MOM...
OH, a lot of "OH's" today... my brain is soo scattered.... Yesterday was my grandpa's 92nd birthday! I called to check on him and wish him Happy B-day and asked how he was and he said, "Not good." He has a lot of health issues so when he admits he's "not good," then he's really not.. Please pray for him...
