Valleys...

"Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer." Psalm 4:1

Last night I hit my breaking point. Tears flowed, frustrations heightened and questions arose. I was sitting on the couch checking my email, watching Project Runway and listening to my myspace music (which I highly recommend listening to b/c all the songs I've chosen on there ARE AWESOME and if I could figure out how to add the playlist thingy to this, I would! www.myspace.com/bekahkee ). When all the sudden I decided to scroll down and read what my Daily Bible Verse thingy said, while Chris Sligh's "Empty Me" song was playing. I read the words it quoted from Psalms and IMMEDIATELY felt like I had written the words that were before me. I'm dealing A LOT with personal demons, physical demons as well as spiritual demons in my life right now and in our home. The devil is doing all he can to try to break me and I'd be lying if I said he hasn't come close. The phrase, "When it rains, it pours" is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO true in my life. It's almost like the devil is trying to use every valley as a knife to stab at my heart with. I see a valley as a journey we all must take to get to the mountain top and in each valley is where we become broken and are used the most. Our reactions to these "valleys" determine who we are. I've always believed and thought this my whole life. Now, I'm by no means saying I always have the right reaction b/c initially, I HARDLEY EVER DO but God always brings me closer to Him during these times.
Josh and I are in one HUGE BLOOMING VALLEY right now, I tell ya and some days it seems like there is no mountain top insight but I KNOW AND BELIEVE my God is a deliverer, healer and protector of the weak and HE WILL triumph over this as well as carry us to that mountain top. There are situations and pot-holes we're going through and in that would break any non-believer to the core but one thing endure and carries through and that's our love for OUR GOD, His word, and each other. WE WILL NOT break and give-up no matter how many times I think we've been through it all and need a break.
My heart is broken but my spirit is not. A friend reminded me of the "Footprints" poem and the part that IS ME AND ABOUT ME is this:
"Dismayed, he asked, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. I don't understand why, when I needed you most, you would leave me." The Lord replied, "My precious child. I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering when you saw only one set of footprints...
That was when I carried you."
THAT IS ME.... I'm a very visual person and often look to what my eyes can see instead of what my heart knows. God is carrying me and Josh and He's not letting us go.
Please pray for us and our strength. I PROMISE I'm still sewing and will post pictures soon! Haha.. Just wanted to share my heart today...

Kennedy....

Well, I finished a "Sunday Diaper Bag" last night for a dear friend's sister who's expecting and having a shower this weekend. I love how this turned out! This is one of my favorite prints and most popular on demand. I can't wait to see baby Kennedy's precious things being carried in this to church!

2 STATES!

YEAH!! BIZZY B'S IS NOW IN 2 STATES!!Arkansas and Florida!! :) The lady who ordered the Diaper bags got all of them today! :) She loved them! PRAISE GOD!! I'm soo excited to see how well they do! I miss them but am thrilled to be making mommas look cute in 2 separate states now! :)
Wow, God has blessed us so... I can do nothing but Praise HIM for this blessing!!

I will be...

As I'm playing 'catch up' w/ my favorite blogs a dear friend of mine drew my attention to Kelly's. My friend Ashley said, " you should really read her blog." So, w/ all my curiosity I did and have been practically all day reading most of her entries and this one I found amazing. It's a poem that she found comfort in and I find myself.

Even though our journey to have a child is no where near over, our own struggles are yet the same and have the same pain. Each day is a new day with it's new struggles but the same prayer flows out of my mouth every day, all day, "Lord, please bless us with a child..."
Here's the poem..this is not to offend anyone....I just find comfort and truth in this.. :)

There are women who become mothers without effort,
without thought,
without patience or loss,
and though they are good mothers and love their children,
I know that I will be better.

I will be better not because of genetics or money or because I have read more books,
but because I have struggled and toiled for this child.

I have longed and waited.
I have cried and prayed.
I have endured and planned over and over again.

Like most things in life, the people who truly have appreciation are those who have struggled to attain their dreams.

I will notice everything about my child.
I will take time to watch my child sleep,
explore,
and discover.
I will marvel at this miracle every day for the rest of my life.

I will be happy when I wake in the middle of the night to the sound of my child, knowing that I can comfort, hold, and feed him and that I am not waking to take another temperature, pop another pill, take another shot or cry tears of a broken dream.
My dream will be crying for me.

I count myself lucky in this sense; that God has given me this insight, this special vision with which I will look upon my child.

Whether I parent a child I actually give birth to or a child that God leads me to, I will not be careless with my love.

I will be a better mother for all that I have endured. I am a better wife, a better aunt, a better daughter, neighbor, friend, and sister because I have known pain.

I know disillusionment, as I have been betrayed by my own body. I have been tried by fire and hell that many never face, yet given time, I stood tall.

I have prevailed.
I have succeeded.
I have won.

So now, when others hurt around me, I do not run from their pain in order to save myself discomfort. I see it, mourn it, and join them in theirs.
I listen.
And even though I cannot make it better, I can make it less lonely.

I have learned the immense power of another hand holding tight to mine, of other eyes that moisten as they learn to accept the harsh truth when life is beyond hard.

I have learned a compassion that only comes by walking in those shoes. I have learned to appreciate life.

Yes, I will be a wonderful mother.

Kelly is now pregnant and found out she's having a girl! :) PRAISE HIS NAME!!! Please remember us in your prayers as we face each new day...

Babies...

When it rains, it pours FOR SURE it seems lately... Sooo many people I know are either pregnant or having their babies like wild fires! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to make special creations for friends. Since I've been sewing, it's been soo meaningful and a blessing to my heart when they receive their gifts or their orders and love them! A girl I went to high school with, who's pregnant and best friends with a girl me and my husband went to college with, received one of my diaper bags as a baby shower present, so I just saw today! SMALL WORLD! SHE LOVED IT and I must say, it's one of my favorites! I had no idea it was for her until a friend told me at dinner Thursday night that it was for her! haha! wow! Here's pic's of her bag and her receiving it at her shower ( I took the pic's from her myspace page...haha):
**She comments: "Chad was a little sad we didn't get Direct TV."
Haha, I can't believe my friend kept it in the box I shipped it to her in! haha.. how funny..

Oh, and this bag below, the "Rylee" bag, this lady who this was for, who's also a friend of my college friend, just had Rylee this a.m. at 11:10a.m.! :) wow!! I love this bag for a girl and I'm not even a person who likes purples! haha...

Just wanted to share in my "Wow!" for the day...I needed this today...
Please pray for me as I'm going through an immense valley and struggle of doubt and uncertainty in my life right now. I feel God at work and I also feel some changes are about to be made in our lives and we all know I love my comfort zone. God is in control of ALL of this in our lives right now and where He leads, we will follow even if it is outside our comfort zones... Love you all...

Beautiful Chrisitan Sister...

A friend of mine sent this as a general forward to her "Christian Friends" today and I found it truly inspirational and cool. Just wanted to share...
Beautiful Christian Sister
by Maya Angelou
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ
that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living''; I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.' When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride; I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong; I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on. When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success; I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect; My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain ... I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou; I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!
Pretty is as Pretty does... but beautiful is just plain beautiful!'

I FINISHED!!!

Good morning! Things have been fast and furious for us lately it seems between busy 10 hour days at work (we work 4, 10 hour days during the summer which all comes to an end this week :( No more Friday's off...), trying to keep our sanity as well as me trying to finish my 1ST BOUTIQUE ORDER!
I had a lady contact me a little over a month ago from Florida interested in my little hobby and if I would make "some" diaper bags for her new embroidery boutique she is opening in her city. I have never sold any of my things wholesale before so this was exciting, new as well as intimidating and scary! I jumped head first into this wonderful experience and just gave it all to God and if it was to be something He wanted me to do then He would give me guidance and strength and indurance. So after a few days of talking with her and negotiating and learning how and what to price wholesale, she ordered 12 DIAPER BAGS! I was shocked!!!!
So after 2-3 weeks of sewing I FINALLY FINISHED ALL OF THEM! I did one extra as a "Thank You for being my first boutique order" bag that's soooooo cute and sassy (Fuzzy Zebra)!
Below is the ENTIRE collection, hope you enjoy! Each one is about 18"-19" wide by 11" - 12" tall; perfect size for a general diaper bag to carry all your baby stuff and your own!
SURPRISE BAG:

IT HAS SEQUINED DISKS ALL OVER THE ZEBRA PRINT! The trim is hot pink feathers, not red (for some reason it looks more red but the pink feathers do match the pink fabric).

And, my lovely assistant, Dee Dee. He wanted to help model the bags. Haha.. He just layed right in front of the camera like this so I HAD TO take his picture! Haha

Every inside is wall-to-wall pockets, like shown below in the pictures, with a coordinating print different from the lining fabric ( my little signature I like to call it).

Wheeww!! haha.. that's a lot to post! haha..I can't wait to ship these to her! I'm kinda sad to see them all go though! Maybe one day I'll see them again carried by a happy mom or grandma.

God Bless

About "Moi" in more detail

So in my little "About Me" section it kept telling me, "You cannot exceed 500 characters." Well, I guess I did so here...
Here is what I WANTED to put IN-DEPTH "About Moi":
I am a full-time secretary/assistant at SAU (Southern Arkansas University)as well as a happily married woman of 3 years to my awesome husband Josh, who also works for SAU as the Associate Director of the Foundation. I adore him more than I could ever express. We were high school sweethearts and God has worked through us in ways that amaze me every day. I love his red hair! That's my 2nd favorite feature of him! His ice blue eyes captivate my soul and melt my heart every day. He is a wonderful man of God with a servant’s heart and a leader in all he does. He is my soul mate.
We do not have any children yet but are trusting in God’s will and God’s time for that step in our lives. However, we do have a "fur baby" named Dee Dee. He's a 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier. He's not the normal teeny tiny terrier but the larger breed, 15 lbs to be exact! He is my baby. He loves his mommy and tolerates his daddy and loves to cuddle ALL the time. He is known as “the grand-puppy.” His personality shines every day.
I have always been a creative child and now woman who loves anything I can do with the hands God has given me. I began sewing in February of 2008 when my mom gave me my first sewing machine for my 25th birthday. I come from a musically and artistically talented family so God has truly blessed me with a creative eye and heart for art & design. I graduated in May of 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Art History and have always tried to find something I love to do that I can use my talent from God for. I long to spread the word of God through all aspects of my life but also through my little past-time. He has given and blessed me with so much. I long to bring the lost to His kingdom. Praise and ALL glory be to God!
I hand-make and design all my creations. I LOVE color and bright patterns! I sew anything from purses, totes, bags, diaper bags, outfits, YOU NAME IT, and I’ll try it! I also make hair bows and crochet! Crocheting is a new –found talent that I picked up really quick. I’m working on a baby blanket that I know I’ll finish one day. Anything you might have in mind, I can try to do! I have a willing heart to be open to any creativity that comes my way!
I have friends and family that cannot view my MySpace page so I’VE FINALLY decided to make one of these. I’ll periodically update with new pictures and designs so keep in touch to see what comes to mind next!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my new site and if you have any questions, please contact me via email:
