Painted the Town...

Shelby had her first breed show (Other than Color Congress) over Mother's Day weekend in Texarkana. It was called, "Paint the Town." She had a blast! It was a long 2 day show for everyone but we all bonded as a family and as a team. I wouldn't have asked for a better Mother's Day! Time with my family and our horse family is an awesome combination! Shelby met and made new friends with several girls her age and we can't wait to see them at Pinto World next month in Tulsa!
I got the neatest and most heart-felt gift for Mother's Day from Josh and the kids. It may seem like a weird gift but it was PERFECT for me from them and I will use it VERY MUCH!
I'm getting #horseshowsissy embroidered on it! :) It is SOOO ME and it supports my aching back! It's the perfect gift for this Show Mom :). I"m such a blessed woman to have such an amazing family and support system! This Horse Show business is all new to us but we are LOVING IT and it's become our life. We have lifelong friends now and shelby has a bond w/ the horses and her teammates that are unlike any other. :)
Oh, I also personalized shelby's hat can too!
Special thanks to LoveCharlieGrace for the awesome glitter monogram vinyl!
Shelby competed in 16 classes in 2 days! She did halter, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure and Trail! Here's a compilation of shelby's placings from her classes
Youth Mares: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4 th place
Youth Walk Trot Showmanship: 2nd, 3rd & 4th
Open All Breed Walk Trot Western Pleasure:

She learned SOOO much with just getting experience in the show pen. We couldn't be prouder of her love for ALL THINGS equestrian, her encouraging words, spirit and smile to others, being a lady and congratulating all those she competed with. She even won a saddle bag!

Rhett left the show early Sunday and got to spend time w/ PopPop and he found out that he likes motorized ponies better!

and pizza!
