Woot Woot Wednesday!

Today's Woot Woot is definitely about this...

Yeap! The potty training has officially begun!!! And... It's success!!!!!!
Shelby has done sooooo great! I started Monday putting her in pull-ups and introducing her to her potty that we've had for a long time in the guest bath (her bathroom)but she wasn't ready til now. She did ok in her pull-ups Monday but yesterday I decided that it was REAL panty time!! I put her in real panties at noon and she peed 7x before bedtime at 9pm! She had a poopy accident in her pull-up tues. Morning nut only had one accident (pee pee) in her real panties the whole day!!! Her amazing Fisher Price Cheer For Me Potty is what I say is key. It sings when anything hits the bowl and she just lights up when she hears it sing! I also got a "Potty Jar" that is filled with MnMs and Sesame Street stickers (her two fav's)that she gets to dig into when she uses her potty and it's working! I ask her every 15-30 min. If she needs to potty and regardless I encourage her by gently saying, " let's go make the potty sing! K? Lets try!" and she does!!! Usually within 5 min she uses her potty!!! I feel soo bittersweet about this at age! She's growing up soooo fast and yeti feel so proud of who she's becoming!

Prairie Dress

I wanted to do something special for my BFF and when we went to Indiana I took some fabrics I KNEW she'd love and she did! So we shopped and decided I'd make a vintage-like dress with a jersey knit top and this is what I came up with...

(click on the images to enlarge them)
I call this the Prairie Dress. It looks like something as a little girl, you would play in the field and collect flowers and butterflies in :) this is a 2T but I've gotta a 7/8 outfit I'm about to start working on after today! The mommy & daughter are com in over to pick out fabrics today!! It's gonna be sooo fun, sparkly & glam! There will also be a feather clip M2M as well! This outfit is being made for Miss Olivia to wear in the Magnolia Blossom Festival Pageant comin up!! Can't wait to start! Outfits have become sooo much fun to do lately!!!

Almost caught up!

Wheeeeewwww I'm almost caught up but then again...Kim not! Hahaha I've got to make 6 clutches and a few brooches for a local store and then a few diaper bags to sell at a store in Texarkana and the clutches needed to be done lake last month! Ugh!!! I feel a late sewn night com in on.... However, I did get these done today....

Isn't it goooorrrrrgeous?! I just love the elegance and simplicity of this one! The solid black is black Minky Dot fabric and is sooo soft and warm. The custom embroidery looks perfect on it and is totally original and has a design within the stitching!

The wipe case is great too because it has different fabrics but the same elegance!

I also finished an outfit today! This is a 2T outfit and came out soo cute! I've gotta try it on Shelby to make sure it's gonna fit the little girl it's actually for right since Shelby can wear a 2T (she's still in some 18 month and some 24 m and 2t is too big)

One last goodie.... I finished a brooch last week for a friend for her to wear for Easter. It was done to match her dress so its totally customized by colors....

Woot Woot Wednesday

Amongst all the chaos and turmoil from this weeks awful storms I've still had joy in my heart and my life....so this week's Woot Woot will be just pictures. Short and sweet!

This was our "family night" snuggled in the guest bath while the tornado sirens blared! Notice where shelby's cup is! Hahaha it is clean though and the "used" parts are on the big people potty so this one is not used hahaha

Not my Clematus but my neighbors I envy! But I did buy and pot one and pray it survives these storms and grows as beautiful as this one! She's sellin her home and I have the mindset to ask her if I can have it before she moves since it's in the ground! Hahaha
Have a blessed week....
