Pinto Color Breed Congress 2015

Shelby, GiGi & I traveled to Tulsa, Oklahoma Thursday morning for shelby to compete in her first Color Breed Congress show.  It was awesome and soo much bigger than we ever thought! There were over 1000 horses there and this was the biggest barn I've ever seen! There were at least 2 more just like it that weren't housing horses for this show but will at Pinto World.  The show was in 2 arena's and one was the size shelby is use to and the other, well.. it's the biggest horse arena I've ever seen! It had a jumbo-tron! haha...Badger was afraid of the stands with all the people and the flash photography so he spooked during her horsemanship class but we are sooo proud of her and her accomplishment in her first big show! She was called out in one of her walk trot classes as 8th and that's a BIG DEAL!! No ribbons, but just to be called out, was just as awesome for her and for me as a proud show momma!
She looked absolutely beautiful and she felt right at home w/ all the pro's! She made so many friends, young and old. We made friends from Iowa we hope to see again this summer if we go to world.  She was in her element and absolutely found her place in this world of equine!
Tulsa, HERE WE COME!

we got to watch Ms. Linda & Bree compete in Showmanship!

never seen so many beautiful horses

Time for practice... it was late but she did well!

Shelby LOVED the hotel! We had a beautiful view!

We had to be at the barn by 8;30 for her Horsemanship class....
She's dressed and ready! Her shirt looked great!

She was the dog-sitter of the weekend! haha This is Hazzie (Hazard) from Iowa

 Day 2 of her riding....

What a great 4 days!! Shelby was wiped out but loved every second of Color Congress!

SAU Rodeo 2015 & Color Congress Prep

Shelby loved the rodeo this year at SAU, as usual! She went all 3 nights and LOVED seeing her 3 team members of Shaw Performance Horses ride too, "Big Shelby," Lilly & Byrd. She and her best buddy, Berk, had a blast and front row seats all 3 nights! They were so cute! I went Friday and Saturday night and it was awesome to see!

We head out to Tulsa for the Color Congress Horse Show THIS THURSDAY! Shelby is super excited and I'm SUPER nervous, but won't show her that! Shelby will ride Friday and Saturday mornings (I believe). You can watch her here:

I FINALLY finished her shirt. :) She's gonna be one sparkly rider! This was SOOO FUN to do! We found the Wrangler shirt at Boot Barn and I hand-glued each stone. There's over 2000 on it. This was SOOO fun to do and I can't wait to see her! She's wearing a black hat and purple chaps :)

Kee Halloween 2015

We had the annual CBC Fall Festival Wednesday night and then we Trick or Treated Friday. The kids had a blast both nights! Shelby went as a peacock this year. I made her costume. I bought the dress and altered it but made the wings and headdress. She LOVED IT! All that hard work paid off to see her so happy! Rhett went as a Farmer on Wednesday and Puff the Magic Dragon on Friday.

Halloween Night Trick or Treating:
We had our own personal hay ride in my in-laws neighborhood. Pop Pop hooked up his four wheeler to his trailer and drove us around the neighborhood. The kids LOVED IT!

Red Ribbon Week

This past week week was Red Ribbon Week for Magnolia Public Schools it was so fun dressing her up! She chose ALL her outfits for each day...
Day 1: Super Hero day
She wasn't the typical Super Hero...She was Robin Hood! She said, "Robin Hood took from the rich and gave to the poor! That's a super hero!"

 Day 2: Cowboy/Cowgirl Day
Right up her alley! She wore her sequined rodeo shirt!

Day3: Nerd Day
I didn't like this day so we called it Smarty Pants Mix Matched Day

Day 4: Wild Animal Day
She chose to be a Panda! :) Super Cute and shy

Day 5: Halloween Costume Day
She wore her costume and it was SOOOO CUTE!!!
