Dancing Queen

She's shakin her booty, not "poppin a squat" lol

First time wearing tap shoes! *tear*

Wow! My class?! Wow! My shoes make noise!!!

Showin us how to dance

Her other dance mate didn't like dance at all and cried a lot. She was a lot younger than Shelby. She's gonna be moved to either the 3 yr old class or the bigger class on Thurs. with girls on her age/ maturity level. :)

Learnin her first dance steps! I think Miss Karen (in the hat) taught her something in regards to "skish da bug (squish the bug)" b/c she's been showing me her dance moves and puts her hands on her hips, heel down toe up and puts toe down and moves it in a squirting motion saying "skish da bugs" and does the other foot too!
Tumble Time!!!
They could've taken her tutu off but she still looked cute!!

She loved to climb on the blocks, run, walking on the balance beams and her #1 favorite, the trampoline!! She did sooo well!! Miss Amy just bragged on her and kept saying, " she's not afraid of anything!" hahaha we know we know....lol.

We went to Dairy Queen after for ice cream as a treat for her doing sooo well!

She said, " I wuv dance at Kaffys ( the studio is called Kathy's Dance Arts Studio, KDAS or Kathy's; the best in town!!)"

I didn't cry today but my heart did leap a little when I left her for 45 min. I came back before her tumble class was over s I could take pics and see how she did. What a great day for our new little Dancing Queen!

dance Day!!

Well the pics of shelby's first day of dance will come either tonight or tomorrow but today is THE DAY!! my baby's first day of dance! I finished her dance bag last night and it turned out JUST LIKE I had envisioned!!! I can't wait for her to see it!

Horrible pics fr my phone b/c I have no idea where my camera is...thinking I'll take some outside later....and here's what she's wearing!

Made her rainbow rhinestone owl leotard
And this....

Can't wait to see how much fun she's gonna have!!

Life is...

Full of giggles over "gasshoppers"

Timeless rides with Daddy

Hours of dress up

Hairdos

Cooking

Crafts

Visits to Gigi, Gamps and Gurlfriend

And last but not least, time with friends....especially her buddy, Isaiah. They are seriously like an old married couple!

I've been taking these days as a treasured memory each day instead of letting the little bumps in each day ruin the good times and blessings.

This week will consist of sewing, sewing and more sewing! Gotta diaper bag set due for a shower on Saturday, hair bows for a lil girl AND Shelby starts dance class for the first time this Tuesday and I'm makin her a special, new design, dance bag! Oh and the diaper bag, wipe case and shelby's bag ALL HAVE TO BE monogrammed too!! Ugh oh! Lol Bit off more than I can chew? Probably but I work well under pressure!

Be content

Today I've been doin A LOT of thinking since yesterday and so I thought I'd design a little graphic for today, and hopefully a lot more Thursday's....

My devotional today, and the last 3 days has focused on Ecclesiastes 9:9 "Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.". Today's was on being content with your spouse and not pointing out his/her flaws or what upsets you and not longing for what others have. The greatest quote I heard today was in this devotional quoted by Erma Bombec, " the grass usually looks greener on top of someone else's septic tank." hahaha. My friend, Ms. Polly, gave me a great one too, " Joyce Meyer Ministries
"Even if you think the grass is greener on the other side, you’re going to have to mow that side too."
Another friend said,
" the grass is probably greener because it was planted over manure"

In a nutshell, love who & what God's given you and love it to the fullest because He gave it to you and not for what it does or how it is. Just love...
