Isn't this the most fun, girly looking bag set?! I love it!!! It's for a new mommie I went to high school with. Her Sunday school teacher ordered this for her and I was delighted to do it! It goes with her theme and is soooo funky and fun!!!
I was in a pickle though b/c I needed this monogramming done and my "guy" was busy rooting his daughter on at the Miss Arkansas Pageant, where she did well, so I remembered how sweet Lori was to offer to do some custom work for me and she did BEAUTIFULLY!!! thank you soooo much Lori!

Back to the grind...

We had a blast at the lake for the annual Kee Camping trip. LOTZ of memories and great pics....We are already plannin a Burton/Kee campin trip SOON! yeah!!!!! Here's highlights from the week....all taken by my blackberry so excuse the quality but it's handy and easier than carrying my camera! Lol...

This is our 2 yr old in 150' deep water who wasn't the least bit afraid! Jumped off the boat into the water and swims like a fish! We swear she's grown gills!!!

We LOVE TO CAMP and always make the best of any circumstance! The weather was nice and cool the first few days but got HOT HOT HOT the end of the week but thank goodness for A/C!! Lol

Now it's time to get back to the grind...got the mountains of laundry done, gotta clean house that was clean when we left and I swear someone came in and dirtied it all up while we were gone all week and got LOTZ to sew! Yeah!!!!!!!
It was sooo great to have Josh off for a full week and have his undivided attention! Shelby and I enjoyed it soooo much!!! We are sooo blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives!!!

all about Minnie

Minnie Mouse has always been cute to me but not my favorite cartoon character or even Disney character but Miss Shelby thinks she's hung the moon so now mommy thinks she has too...lol

Before the cake came out that was too cute to eat that day so we ate it at our church fellowship the next day...



After the kids attacked and conquered my homemade cupcakes the cupcakes!! Hahaha. Oh and what 2 yr old bday party isn't complete w/o baby wipes and hand sanitizer. Lol
Anyhoo...with all that said, we are all about Minnie and it runs in the family! Mammy asked me to make her niece a Minnie outfit b/c she got to go to Disney to see the real Minnie. So....this is what I came up with! I bought this fabric to make this outfit for Shelby for her bday party but my brain was fried and it didn't even cross my mind that #1 it's a water party outside w/ water slides and #2 it was 97*! lol duh mommy so she stayed in this....



But had wardrobe malfunctions w/ her derrière lol....too much "bayWatch" booty lol
So she was in her "pincess simsuit( princess swimsuit" all day



Ok...sorry, babbling again...here's the main reason for this post...













Crazy phone pics....it's hot pink not rose....
It's totally done w/o any kind of a pattern. I'm mastering my designing by measurements I think. I also appliqué and did this myself too. Took me a bit to find the right stitching I wanted but finally got it. I also got to use this for the first time...



What is this monster you ask!? It's my Ruffler Foot for my machine! Took me a while to figure out how to even attach it to my machine shaft but I did it! I even did the Shelby " I dit it" hand clap when I finally figured it out! It did beautiful on the pant ruffles and was super easy!
I also used it to do these...quick preview...not finished yet



We are going on our annual lake trip w/ the Kee's so no sewing this week for me. It will all pick up in a week! Also, all orders that are needed before October, must be paid and ordered before Sept. 1st. Due to the festival I'm doin in Oct., I've gotta close custom orders for a month. However, I will be taking custom orders at the festival! :)

Pap Pap Detox...Woot Woot!!

(this is the only kind of paci Shelby likes and when I say "likes" I mean she had a total of 10 as of yesterday that she uses regularly). She sleeps with all of them and has to have at least one in her mouth and one in each hand. Yeap, she's "that" kid. Lol. She's done a lot better since she's turned 2 of not needing them (3 pap paps) unless we were driving or she was sleeping. I felt the need to get rid of them ALL. Omg what am I doing?!! Lol. I knew it would be hard because she's sooooo attached and it's her security so it broke my heart to do it but I don't want it to affect her speech and her teeth and since she's got all her teeth and speaks in sentences, it's game time!!
So the second she woke up we had a talk. I told her that since she is 2, potty trained (for 2 months now), sleeps in a big bed, and talks to me and understands conversations that she needed to give her Pap Paps to new babies so they can feel safe like she did. She was ok with that...until a bout 30 min later and realized 8 of the 10 were gone ( I cut them and let her throw them away; I told her they broke because the babies get newly fixed ones but they need an old one to fix first). She whined and cried basically all day off and on....I kept telling her how big she is and how great she is and can find her comfort in God, Mommy and Daddy. She was ok...but was a very trying day!
I've documented my Facebook statuses and responses b/c it was funny...
Great stuff for the baby book!! Last night's bedtime was worrisome for me and Josh but to our surprise she slept great!! All night! The funny thing was WHAT she slept with...my Facebook status was:
"Shelby has the right idea.. in time of need, cling to the Lord's Holy Word. she is asleep w/ her hootie blankie, ONE pap pap, her gator she caught w/ Troy fr Swamp People and clinging to her little white New Testament. amazing how a 2 year old can teach you when you're supposed to teach her!"
She now sleeps with and carries her bible w/ here everywhere! Has anyone ever heard of this as a Pap Pap replacement? I'm totally ok with it! Hahaha
I love you Shelby and today, July 13, 2011, you've been such a big girl and only wants your paci when you sleep! Way to go big girl! You also got a reward last night from me and daddy, a Magnadoodle! You love it and call it your "Big Gurl Toyee". Today you got to pick out a My Lil Pony and of course you got the one with the most and tiniest pieces but you love it and demanded you sleep with it too so one more addition lol....

Lazy B's

Lazy as in it's too hot to do ANYTHING! we are in the 100s with 110 heat index!!! Uuugggghhhhhhh with shelby's fair skin and my extreme hot natured, hormonal imbalances self makes for a disaster!


Lately my focus has been on this little darling and not sewing. I've got A LOT of new designs coming up and new different projects coming up. Starting this week my machine will be up and running again! Late night sewing will be in order!

I have some great news for Bizzy B's...
I've been asked to do MusicFest coming up in October! It's a great music festival in El Dorado, AR (30min fr here) with music, food, and crafts! The coolest thing is that the headliner group this year is....




One of our favorite groups, even if there are just 3 of them now! Omg I remember listening to Boys II Men when Josh and I were dating so this will be awesome! Not only awesome because of the music but because I get to get my business out to the public again! It's been 3 years since I did a festival so I've got a lot to prepare for it and a few items I'm gonna do are....
What are some items you think I should do or you would like seen? Here's a few of my recent Diaper Bag sets I liked...



















The monogramming will be an option for custom orders since I don't have my own machine to do it on, maybe one day! But the bags will be made so it can be done by the buyer if they want.
I'm also gonna do some art...






Yes, I paint! Hahaha it was my 1st passion and how i went to college ( full art scholarship). I'm gonna do some canvas artwork as well as apothecary jars and candy/cookie jars. I did these magnolia jars for tip jars for a local fundraiser.

So....as u can see I've got my work cut out for me and being a SAHM is a full-time job in itself!
