New Opportunity

Hello all! Well, the "Rolling Turd" made it and it was actually fun! Will take some getting-used-to but overall, was a nice little trip (see previous post).

In the meantime, my dear friend Nichole from Terra Haute, IN informed me that she wants to sell some of my things at this upcoming event/show she's selling some of her new GORGEOUS jewelry at May 1st! Ok, so that means, I have now till NO LATER THAN next Wednesday to get my items made & shipped to her! So, I'm gonna do some feather clips, headbands, bows, wipe cases, 1 display diaper bag and HOPEFULLY some new designs that she's inspired me to do. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME! The devil is HARD AT WORK to get me to cave in and back out of this and just mope around. This is just as cool as the deal I got a year ago to sell my bags in a boutique in Florida! Bizzy B's is going nationwide AGAIN! Please give me any advice or feedback on items you think will sell great and that I should showcase! I'm stressing, can you tell? It's tough managing my time now. BUT, if I have to stay up half the night, I will! I'm excited but timid. I guess I still feel strange about people wanting my designs. LOL..
Anyhoo...
PLEASE PRAY! Oh, here's a new thing in our home:

this was in the nursery at church before church began last night (4-18-10)
~God bless & ANYONE THAT FEELS LEAD TO COME HELP W/ GLUE, SEWING AND RHINESTONES, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME TO MY HOME....I WILL GLADLY PUT YOU TO WORK!,

Birthday Box Update

Photobucket
I CANNOT FATHOM SHELBY IS 10 MONTHS OLD... O M G... WHERE DID MY BABY GO?
HAPPY FRIDAY!
OH, and look what has joined our family...

"Big Oh Rolling Turd"...yeahp...we are now RV Owners (& I did name it Rolling Turd). LOL. My parents & I have switched camping "tools". They have our camper and we now are the proud owners of this RV. It's gonna be so fun and a lot easier w/ Shelby! No more restraining her for traveling to distant lands. We are trying it out this weekend on a trip to Texarkana to visit "Gwammy" & "Granpop" (my parents). If all goes well, we are planning on using it this summer on our trek to Galveston to board our cruise! Should be interesting...

Yes, I procrastinate

(Why use a camera when your phone takes great pics like this? well, I think they're great anyway....at least good! lol)
Ok so I know you were beginning to wonder, "Does she even sew or MAKE ANYTHING anymore? Geese! This blog has turned into a Shelby Brag Book!" Yes, that is true, but give me a break! lol... I do still create, once in a blue moon, when I've prograstinated as long as I can and all the catastrophe's that could occur have and the air's cleared out...
This bag was fun and a first. I've not used this plain fabric before. I'm not a "plain-fabric" kinda gal. I like patterns and color and pazazz! I think it turned out quite sweet and beautiful, for a boy bag. LOL... Boy stuff is so not fun to me, except when the mom's or customer's want something in paisley, or other pretty patterns in boy colors :)!
The interior of this bag is solid brown w/the paisley (the same on the strap) for the pockets. The embroidery work was FABULOUS thanks to Teddy, once again, at T-Sports! He always does my "signature stitchery" for my things that he does for no one else's so I feel special and blessed to have such a wonderful partner! Thanks Teddy & Donna! If you click on the first pic, you can zoom in and see the extra detail he does in my monogramming. There's a stitch pattern WITHIN the letters! :) One of my embroidery trademarks thanks to Teddy!
More bags & wipe cases to come! I promise! I've got AT LEAST 3 summer orders due by June & July so I guess I better start now before it gets to hairy in the Kee household! Shelby's almost walking so I better hurry! LOL

10 Months

Wow! We are officially in the DOUBLE DIGITS of months now! Shelby was 10 months old today at 7:54am! Hard to believe it. She is soo amazing! Her personality is soooo striking and full of life! She definitely has her daddy's stage presence and fearlessness! I have a feeling, I'll be sitting alone on a bench somewhere in an amusement park while she and her daddy ride ALL the rides! I am NOT a rollercoaster-heights-fearless-individual! Josh, he is so therefore, I can already tell by Shelby's personality, she will be too! I HOPE SHE IS! It's not fun being a fuddy-duddy but I CANNOT get over my fear of heights and really, I'm 27, what's the point now? haha.. I"ve made it this far w/o being embarrassed to not ride rides as a kid and teen so why try now?! I DO LOVE Waterparks though! :) I even hate the swings people! I have a fear that my chains will break or that I'll go flying out somehow. I know, hardly EVER happens (maybe never?) but I WOULD BE THE 1ST, rest assure!
Well, Shelby is now crawling 90 to nothing, pulling up very well, standing while barely holding on, walking around things holding on w/ at least 1 hand, has said "Maamaa" & "DaaaDaa" numerous times, found her tongue b/c now anytime she makes any noise or sound that pointy little tongue (looks like a lizard tongue!) is usually sticking out, waves "Bye Bye", gives "5 5 5" (low five, not high five)and u have to say " 5 5 5" or she won't do it, PULLS HER HEADBANDS OFF ( I KNOW NUMEROUS OF YOU WERE WAITING FOR THIS DAY and I find that semi-rude b/c I think headbands are adorable on babies and ya know, SHELBY IS KNOWN FOR HER HAIR ADORNMENTS AND I'M OK W/ THAT AND THEY DO NOT SQUEEZE HER HEAD OR CUT OFF ANY TYPE OF BRAIN FUNCTIONING LIKE NUMEROUS LADIES HAVE MUMBLED UNDER THEIR BREATHE!) but she only takes them off at feeding time and when she's tired which is not uncommon considering I TAKE THEM OFF AT THOSE TIMES SO SHE ASSOCIATES THAT W/ THOSE TIMES WHICH IS GOOD AND FINE W/ ME :), she wears shoes and likes to especially chew on her shoes while they are on her feet (long past my days of that talent..lol), she is very clingy towards us now when we leave but not to the point of alligator tears and our hearts breaking in two, she had her first "Boo Boo" this week ever (Dee Dee bit her in the face last night....savin that for another post b/c it was traumatic. she's fine and so is Dee Dee, for now), LOVES her picture taken (as u can tell by Stacy's pics!), loves to be outside, loves to watch her movies that are full of color (especially "A Bugs Life," "Tigger & Friends", "Finding Nemo", "Horton Hears a Hoo"(Sp?) and anything w/ lots of color, she's learned to get her way, and is the sweetest little bundle I've ever seen!
Weighs: a little over 19 lbs
Length: 27 3/4" long
Eats: 4, 5-8oz bottles a day; 1-2 veggies (containers), 1-2 fruits (containers); snacks: fruit loops, yogurt melts, honey-nut cheereos, banana/strawberry puffs; drinks Apple Juice out of the level 2 lid of her Nuby cup (:) 1 more and it's FULL ON SIPPY!!); table-food: green beans (whole string beans), mashed potatoes (HER FAV!), has had some carrots, ice cream, pudding, and a tiny piece of a donut hole! lol... she mainly eats mashed potatoes but has eaten the other stuff before but not consistantly! :)
Had her first bath in the "big tub" last month and LOVES it and loves to play w/ her toys; had her first bath w/ mommy this month which kills two birds w/ one stone (mommy gets clean & shelby gets clean), POOPED IN THE BATH FOR THE FIRST TIME (Shelby, not mommy..lol) and mommy got to clean that up butt naked and laughing all at the same time with Shelby...lol....highlight of my weekend, needless to say!
And.....that's all my exhausted brain can think of at this time....

I cannot imagine my life w/o this little spit-fire! These past 10 months have been the most amazing, eye-opening, jaw-dropping, frightening, painful, joyful, tearful, happy, frustrating, life-changing, God-filled days of my life and I would not change ONE SECOND OF ANY OF IT!
Thank you Lord for my beautiful family of 3 and for Shelby who is truly a miracle from You!

Growing up

A year ago Josh and I wanted to plant a tree (We have NO TREES in our entire yard, but somehow all the neighbors leaves end up in our yard) in the backyard and it be "Shelby's Tree." We found the most beautiful, as beautiful as a scrawny, twig-like tree w/no blooms or leaves could look as a young "tree-ling", at a local nursery and decided to make a little flower bed for it. It's a Red Dogwood tree. I've never seen a Red Dogwood so I thought it would be interesting. The Dogwood has always been special to me not only b/c it's the trees that are EVERYWHERE in my parents yard but it also is a symbol of Christ. See, the Dogwood is said to be the type of wood that the cross was made out of, so God demanded that Dogwoods no longer grow to be big trees like the Oak trees or other large trunk trees. The Dogwood bloom, if you look closely, represents a cross in the way it is shaped, the crown of thorns is represented in the cluster that forms in the middle, the edges of the petals have "blood spots" on them to represent the blood from his head, feet and palms and the traditional tree blooms are white to represent his purity. Did you know that? :) Just a little tid-bit FYI :)...I love symbolism!
So, anyway...the tree never has bloomed, UNTIL THIS YEAR!! It bloomed ON EASTER for the very 1st time which was also Shelby's 1st Easter and our 1st Easter as a family of 3 and it has 6 blooms on it!

Shelby got this cute little push walker thing that also turns into a little car for her to "Flinstone" around on (ride) that the "Easter Bunny" got her. We put it together, since the Easter Bunny forgot to do that part, last night and let her play w/ it out in the yard while Josh mowed the front. I laughed b/c it looks like Shelby is mowing the backyard! Oh and isn't she cute in her "Traditional South Arkansas Attire?" lol... She had a bow on but didn't wanna "mow" in it and risk getting it dirty! lol

~God bless my growing family of 3 & keep us safe and secure in Your arms,

1st Easter as 3

Yesterday was our 1st Easter as a family of 3 and BOY WAS IT A GREAT ONE! We had an AWESOME worship service in celebration of our Lord's resurrection! Josh, Joana & I sang "Revelation Song" and O M G...chill bumps filled my arms! That song is soo powerful and meaningful to me. It was one of many songs that carried me through infertility.
Shelby looked FABULOUS in her very Non-traditional Easter outfit! It fit her personality to a "T" though! Josh looked amazing too in his light suit w/ his green tie w/ white polka dots! VERY HANDSOME! Mom and I made Shelby's Easter outfit (except for her leggings; those came from etsy)and I just adore it!! The jeweled broach on her dress, which is actually a vintage earring, came from her aunt Nichole!! :) Thx Nichole!

As you can tell, Shelby got NOTHING for Easter. LOL.. she's so mistreated...lol! Josh said I got some of her DVD's b/c I like them, which is true b/c I LOVE TINKERBELLE! LOL... We got her books, DVD's, jelly swim shoes, swimsuit, and her easter basket is filled w/ safari, noah's ark & metallic eggs that are filled w/ puffs, yogurt melts & fruit loops, which Dee Dee also benefited from! lol...

We all went to lunch at Mammy & Pappy's house and had a wonderful meal that Mammy made and then Josh and I took a nap while Shelby was preoccupied w/ Mammy & Pappy. I get my camera after my nap, and this is what I find...
SHELBY'S FIRST FOUR WHEELER RIDE!! Pappy said she loved it!! LOL.... the fun is now beginning! Pappy can't wait to take her fishing, huntin and four wheeler riding! lol...

We then decided to play w/ the coffee filters...she looks SOOOO MUCH like Josh in this picture!

What a glorious day in the Lord's house and with family! If only every day could be soo joyful and relaxing! LOL.. back to the work week! lol....
~God bless & I hope you all had a wonderful Easter,

Seder Celebration

Our church family celebrated it's very 1st Seder Celebration Meal last night. It was fabulous! Instead of me going into a lengthy explanation of this, if you go here, it's all there for you to read. We celebrated this as a Christian Seder/Christian Passover meal. I volunteered to be a hostess of a table, which seats 8, and as a hostess, I was to decorate my own table as a reflection of my "likes" and I think it turned out great! I didn't have to buy anything, I just picked up things from around the house. If you are to come to my house today, it looks like we've been robbed by decorative theives! lol...
I finally got to use my "china", yes the Harlequin dishes are my "Fine China". :) When we were registering for our "china" we wanted something we would actually use and enjoy and not something dainty and fragile. The other pieces on my table are just taken from almost every room our home.
(If you click on the images, they will enlarge)

The Seder Meal was very educational and brought a new way of celebrating Easter. If our church doesn't do this next year, which a lot of us hostesses put a bug in the pastor's wife that we think we should, then I want to continue this with my family.
Easter isn't about bunnies, candy, eggs, pretty dresses, pastel colors and easter grass. It's about remembering and celebrating our Lord's ressurection and Him dying for OUR SINS. Please, as Bro. Steven encouraged us last night, when you do have your Easter egg hunts and all the fun w/ your children, take time, as I will also, and explain THE TRUE meaning of Easter. Do not let this "holiday" become so overwhelmed w/ the world that you lose the true beauty and symbolism why we celebrate this HOLY day.
